Sanbra Fyffe was formed in 1962 from a merger between Sanbra -
Conex (Ireland) Ltd, a Delta plc subsidiary manufacturing in
Ireland since 1959 and Fyffe Couplings. The latter company was
formed in 1934 as agents for Instantor Fittings under the control
of the Manufacturers Act, which gave tariff protection to Irish
Manufacturers. A management take-over in 1985 was the next step in
the company's evolution before the current owners, Northstone Ltd,
purchased the company in 1998.
Sanbra Fyffe is ideally located in Santry, three minutes from the
Ballymun Juction of the M50 motorway, allowing ease of service to
and from the factory to the country's major roadways and Dublin
International Airport. The site comprises four and a half acres
with approximately 100,00 sq.ft of freehold premises. Sanbra
Fyffe currently employ 80 people and manufacture and distribute
Compression Fittings in Brass and DZR, together with Gunmetal
Underground Fittings, all of which conform with the most stringent
quality standards i.e. European Norms - EN1254-2. The Quality
standards which Sanbra Fyffe have achieved are IS 239 Product
Certification in 1980 for its range of compression fittings and in
1991 the company received its certification to quality systems
ISO/EN 9002.
Sanbra Fyffe manufactures approximately 60% of its products with
the remaining 40% of products distributed on a factored basis.
The Irish Instantor Range of compression fittings is the core
product of the business and represents approximately 50% of the
total turnover of over E18 million in 2006.
The Instantor range has approximately 50% of the Irish Market, the
other 50% being shared between imports from Europe & Asia.
Sanbra Fyffe's vast array of both modern and traditional
manufacturing equipment also allows for the undertaking of OEM and
subcontracting Manufacturing work of both part and fully finished
components carried out to the customers specifications. The
companies for which Sanbra Fyffe manufactures would be from
several sectors such as Electrical, Gas, Transport and of course
heating.
Sanbra Fyffe's Distributed product sales are increasing
significantly year on year due to our customer service, warehouse
and transportation facilities combined with a large established
customer base. This allows for a perfect platform for foreign
principals to achieve strong levels of sales in Ireland.
