The Institute of Spring Technology (IST) is the UK based unique centre of excellence, offering a wide range of products and services to the spring industry supply chain, as well as non-spring components, including all kinds of spring research.
All companies involved in; the manufacture of all spring types, spring end users, spring material, machinery and consumable suppliers, as well as any other company within the industry, both UK and World-Wide, can benefit from our specialist technical services and research facilities.
IST covers all aspects of spring research, development, problem solving, training, CAD software, as well as materials and mechanical testing for both Spring and Non-Spring Components plus much, much more!
As well as providing rapid ?off the shelf? technical products and services, the Institute also undertakes long-term research projects into fundamental aspects of spring technology and high strength materials. The results of these projects (often undertaken in collaboration with Universities and other Technical Institutes) are distributed to our Members to keep them ahead in the technology race.
All Products and Services are available to both Members and Non Members of the Institute from our independently ISO IEC 17025 (UKAS) accredited technical laboratories in Sheffield, United Kingdom. Members receive discounts on all products and services, as well as receiving extra benefits not available to non-members.
