AIB Group is Ireland's leading banking and financial services organisation, with total assets
of 182bn. It employs almost 26,000 people world-wide and has over 750 offices. The
business of AIB Group is operated through four major operating divisions as described below:
The AIB Bank ROI division encompasses the Group's retail and commercial banking operations
in Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man; AIB Finance and Leasing; the Card Acquiring and
Card Issuing businesses; and AIB's life and pensions joint venture with Aviva.
The activities of AIB Capital Markets comprise corporate banking, global treasury and investment
banking. AIB's Corporate Banking provides a fully integrated, relationship-based banking service
to top tier companies, both domestic and international, including financial institutions and Irish
commercial state companies. The AIB Bank UK division operates in two distinct markets, Great
Britain and Northern Ireland. This division operates as Allied Irish Bank (GB) in Great Britain and
as First Trust Bank in Northern Ireland. A full range of financial services are offered to business and
personal customers in both markets.
AIB Group's Polish subsidiary Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. is one of the leading commercial banks in
Poland and offers a full range of commercial banking products both for corporate and personal
clients. Bank Zachodni WBK S.A. is also active on the Polish capital market. Bank Zachodni WBK S.A.
has a network of over 400 branch offices and other outlets.
