Agricultural Services:
Ongediertebestrijding en beheersing, fumigatie
Inspectie van kwaliteit en kwantiteit van agrarisch bulkproducten, eetbare oliën en vetten.
Minerals Services:
Inspectie van Ertsen, Concentraten, Kolen, Cokes, Ferro Legeringen, Metalen, Kunstmesten, Industriële Mineralen, Verpakte chemicaliën/ Pharmaceutische producten, Gerecyclede Producten en Auto's. De Business Unit is tevens Marine Technical Center voor Nederland met als activiteit : Draft Surveys, Bunker Surveys, Damage Surveys, General Condition Surveys en On/Off Hire Surveys.
Consumer Testing Services:
SGS inspectie, testen, advisering en tal van andere diensten die verbonden zijn aan productie, marketing en verkoop van consumentenproducten zijn beschikbaar om zowel leveranciers als distributeurs in staat te stellen te voldoen aan veiligheids- en kwaliteitsnormen en andere wettelijke eisen.
Oil, Gas & Chemicals Services:
Havengebonden inspecties en controles ten behoeve van klanten die actief zijn in de olie- en (petro-) chemische sector.
Industrial Services:
Technische inspecties van industriële goederen zoals inspecties van machines, technische apparatuur en periodieke inspecties van kranen en hefwerktuigen.
Trade Assurance Services:
SGS assisteert overheidsinstanties van momenteel circa 30 landen door het aanbieden van diensten waaronder het correct vaststellen van invoer- rechten en heffingen, het faciliteren van de handel op het terrein van verkorte inklarings- procedures, het toezicht houden op de naleving van importreguleringen en het minimaliseren van kapitaalvlucht. Voorts ondersteunt SGS banken en internationale hulporganisaties met project monitoring programma's om er op toe te zien dat ter beschikking gestelde fondsen op een juiste manier gebruikt worden.
Environmental Services:
De milieu-gerelateerde activiteiten van SGS omvatten bemonstering, (laboratorium)analyse en advies op het gebied van bodem, lucht, water, afval, bouwstoffen, secundaire brandstoffen, milieuzorg, asbest en legionella.
System & Services Certification:
Certification van kwaliteits-, (voedsel) veiligheids- en milieusystemen op basis van ISO 9000, HACCP, VCA en ISO 14001, SQF, OHSAS 18001, IIP, AR 9301, SHKZ, BRC, BRL 5050, SBC 007, alsmede certificatie van processen & producten en Trainingen op alle gebieden.
