"Zmitut 81" Ltd., member of "Zeevi Group" IL, located in the industrial area near the township of Tamara, is a leading plant in the limestone field. It has been involved during the last 50 years in the quarrying and the processing of limestone, mainly as a decorative component for building purposes.
"Zmitut 81" is maintaining several quarries noted for their different distinctive colors of stones, and are in compliance with standards and architectural requirements.
The basic raw materials consist of hard limestone (CaCo3) complying with the strict requirements of the "Israeli Standard for Terrazzo" (I.S. 1098).
It undergoes a sophisticated and computerized process of crushing and high standard storing according to requirements of size and colors.
The basic material is processed through a system of crushing and sorting.
Two extra separate lines are also producing limestone products:
1) CaCo3 products, used as added minerals for alimentary in food mixtures for poultry and cattle. Fine limestone sends for chemical industrial products.
Granularity limestone for desalination uses, and more.
2) Extra fine limestone sand in various colors for building purposes.
