Norges Geotekniske Institutt er et senter for
forskning og rådgivning innen geofagene for
nasjonale og internasjonale oppdragsgivere.
NGI har ekspertise innen grunnundersøkelser,
ingeniørgeologi, bergmekanikk, oljereservoarmekanikk,
fundamentering, undergrunnsanlegg, marine
konstruksjoner, dammer, skred og skredforbygning,
miljøgeoteknikk, hydrogeologi og instrumentert
overvåking.

Activity
Norwegian Geotechnical Institute is a
centre for research and consulting within
geotechnics, working nationally and internationally.
NGI has expertise within ground investigation,
engineering geology, rock mechanics, petroleum reservoir
mechanics, foundations, underground installations,
marine constructions, dams, avalanches and
avalanche prevention, environmental geotechnics,
hydrogeology and instrumented surveillance.
NGI is a private foundation.
